Therapeutic Support: Your Path to Support
We’re here to walk alongside you. This page is your guide to the support, resources, and tools available to help you feel safe and empowered on your healing journey.
Empowerment Model
Our approach is based on the Empowerment Model, which puts you at the centre of your healing journey. We believe that you have the inner resources to make decisions about your own life and healing.
In this model, you are supported to:
Regain control by making choices that feel right for you
Build confidence in your ability to cope and heal
Access information and resources to make informed decisions
Set your own goals and pace for healing
Develop practical skills to manage stress and the impacts of trauma
We provide a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space where your voice is heard, and your autonomy is honoured. Healing is a personal journey, and there is no “one-size-fits-all” path. We walk alongside you, supporting your unique journey toward healing and wellbeing.
Managing the Impacts of Trauma
Managing the impacts of trauma can be challenging, and it’s normal to feel as though there’s nothing you can do to help yourself. Whether you’re waiting for support or simply looking for different ways to manage your thoughts and feelings, we’ve gathered a range of useful information and practical tools to support your wellbeing.
Please feel free to access our Self-Help Guides, which include strategies and resources that you can explore at your own pace.
Alternatively, if you would prefer to speak with someone anonymously, you can contact our helpline on 0300 303 4787. Our team is here to listen and offer support.
Locations for Face-to-Face Support
Our therapeutic services are available across several locations to make support more accessible. You can find us in Huddersfield, Halifax, Dewsbury, and Wakefield.
Referral Process
Making a referral is simple, you can do this directly through our website here or by calling our helpline.
Once we receive your referral, we aim to offer an assessment within 2–3 months. This initial assessment helps us understand your needs and ensure that our service is the most suitable support for you at this time.
Waiting Times for Therapeutic Support
If you are accepted into our therapeutic support services, the current waiting time is approximately 8–10 months. Please note that this is an estimate and may vary, sometimes the wait may be shorter or, in some cases, a little longer.
Our team is here to listen, offer guidance, and provide support.
Our Helpline Support Service
We are here to listen, to believe you without judgement and can offer support and advice to victim-survivors, family members, friends and partners, as well as signposting and referring to other appropriate services.
