This is the privacy statement of Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre and describes how we process the personal information you give to us.

This statement applies to all recorded personal information on an individual, whether in electronic or paper format. This statement forms an appendix of our wider General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Policy which also covers our service users, staff and volunteers. What personal data we collect and why we collect it
RASAC collects personal data so we can respond to an enquiry or provide you with the service or information you have requested. We collect and store the information you provide on a secure server. We do not verify your personal information and cannot be responsible for errors or problems that arise as a result of inaccurate information provided by you.
Cookies
We use different cookies on the RASAC site. We use intercom to power our live chat functionality. We use pum to control popups across the site and determine if users have already seen them. We use Youtube cookies to ensure we have the social media functionality.
Who we share your data with
We do not share any information you provide to us with any external parties. We may use anonymous comments or information to present to funders as part of funding requirements or as testimonials on our website or social media accounts, this will never be personalised.
Access to your information
You have a right to ask for a copy of the personal information that RASAC holds about you at any time, and to correct any inaccuracies within that information. If you would like to access this information please contact helpline@rasac.co.uk. Please note, we only keep information for 7 years following GDPR guidelines.

This policy is kept under regular review and was last updated February 2026. We will post any changes onto this page so you are always aware of how we use the personal information you provide to us.
