Rooting into Place
Rooting into Place is an empowering course designed for women who have experienced trauma, providing a transformative journey to explore the profound connection between ourselves and our surroundings. Guided by the compassionate facilitator, the course delves into stories, folklore, art, and foraging, fostering a deeper sense of belonging and connection with our home, community, and the landscape. Participants will unearth long-forgotten myths, discover the uses and qualities of locally grown plants, and create personalized inks and paints from natural resources. Through mindful drawing and mark-making activities, the course invites women to express their stories vibrantly, cultivating a more meaningful relationship with the places they call home.
