It Does Matter

The It Does Matter campaign aims to educate and empower victims to report non-contact sexual offences.

This campaign has been developed with campaigner Lisa Squire from Buckinghamshire, whose daughter Libby was murdered in 2019 when she was at university by a sexual predator with an extensive offending history. Many sexual predators have histories like this where their offending pattern includes both contact and non-contact sexual offences.

Non-contact sexual offences, such as exposure (including online) and voyeurism, have been historically overlooked in society as a form of violence against women and girls but it’s time to change that.  Reporting non-contact sexual offences is using your voice and actions to drive change and create a safer environment for everyone.

It Does Matter.  It is serious.  Together, we can make a difference.
